In 2021, Guerrera Marketing & PR and Travel With Purpose launched a scholarship fund specifically to assist young Black and Brown women across the U.S. in accomplishing their educational goals. Through the purchase of our merch, fundraising events and/or monetary contributions via our Go Fund Me campaign, you can change the course of the lives of young guerreras of color in our community.

The Guerrera x TWP Scholarship Fund will be an ongoing campaign. Applicants can email us their stories explaining why and what they need financial assistance for and how much they need to accomplish their goal (see details below). Once an applicant is chosen to receive a scholarship, Travel With Purpose [501(c)3] will make a donation directly to the institution, college or university. *No monies will be donated directly to the scholarship recipients in order to ensure the legitimacy of the entries. To apply to the Guerrera x TWP Scholarship Fund please send a detailed email to travelwithpurposejourneys@gmail.com including the information below. Scholarship winners will be chosen 30-60 days before the beginning of the following semester.

 

 Guerrera x TWP Scholarship Fund Requirements:

 

1. Must already be registered in a college, university and/or other learning institution in the United States. The scholarship is for undergrad studies only. 

2. Must have a valid student ID and an ID that shows age

3. Must be a woman of color between the age of 17-23 currently living & studying in the U.S. 

4. Must have a valid email account from the college, university and/or learning institution

5. Scholarship recipients must put us in touch with the registrar’s office to arrange payment directly to the school

 

How to Apply:

1. Submit a presentation that outlines your background & story, your need for financial assistance, what you’re studying and why, past achievements / highlights, work you've done with your community and what your educational goals are. Please include pictures. We will be looking at your needs, goals, creativity and design for consideration. Entries must be a minimum of 8 slides. Please submit as a PDF.

2. Submit a picture of your student ID and any other ID for proof of age.

3. Submit the presentation and copies of both IDs via your college email to travelwithpurposejourneys@gmail.com

4. Only the recipients who will the scholarship will be contacted due to the

volume of applications. Winners will be notified by July 1st via email.
